@Commercial Communication Even though you're booing the officials why the hell you would do it during the Prize ceremony? As far I understand, Prize ceremonies are done to award somebody who has won Prize because of their Hardwork and Expectional Talent. But when you boo during a Prize ceremony you're insulting the ceremony, the person who has won the Prize (In this case Naomi ) and the rest of the competitor who were fighting for the Prize . The most displeasing thing about the booing was that it ruined the most important moment of Naomi's Tennis Career ' Her First Grand Slam Title' which she won by defeating the probably The Greatest Female Tennis Player.

Naomi looked absolutely miserable. That crowd should be ashamed of themselves. Her whole moment was ruined. Her dream was tainted by all of this crap & I just want to hug her. Good for Naomi for having class, but there was no reason to apologize. She is a beautiful soul and deserves to enjoy such a great accomplishment.

In Africa - like it or not, Naomi certainly masters deep African culture - it is common for a younger person to apologize to an elder or for "hurting" an older person even if the latter is wrong. Not sure if Japanese people have that "tradition" too.

Naomi , as an athlete who played sports since I was 3 years old , you have to be confident to be one of the greatest . Professional sports and performing in front of large crowds comes with it . I understand everyone is saying she has anxiety , depression etc , so maybe professional sports is not for her , and that’s okay . People should do what makes them happy , and no matter how much money she is receiving from being a great athlete doesnt matter to her . That’s a testament to anything one do in life . When their was still prejudice in sports , black athletes got spit on , thrown rocks at , insulted . They kept fighting and the fight was worth it to them .Jackie Robinson , Michael Jordan , the list goes on . Serena and Venus dad would gather up all the kids in the neighborhood when to yell and say the worst insults to Serena and Venus while they use to practice as kids . He mentally prepared them for what can occur , and you bet it did ! Serena is a champion and more importantly a very strong athlete who’s been through it all . Her childhood upbringings was something most of us can’t even imagine going through , not knowing when was our next meal . Everything she’s been through is why she stands so strong but people should stop letting “ anxiety control their life . Instead of simply saying you have anxiety as a coping mechanisms to be shy, anxious or timid , how about overcoming it ! It’s all mental tbh
